Rosalba Mancuso is a Sicily-based journalist with a long experience acquired as a freelance contributor to magazines and newspapers.
She was born and lived in the surroundings of the American naval air station in Sigonella.
Fortunately, she never breathed the smell of war, but only the delicious scent of olive trees. along with a fiercy mix of Sicilian/American culture that allowed her to practise the art of bilingual writing.
Rosalba, indeed, writes in both Italian and English.
Her first article was published in 1994, in a Christian magazine in Italian, called “Orizzonti”, where Rosalba wrote about fake charity campaigns funded by false fundraising events.
Over time, Rosalba has written for print and online publications, such as QdS (Quotidiano di Sicilia), GdS (Giornale di Sicilia), and Affari Italiani, the main online newspaper in Italy, and for the online psychology magazine of Italian publisher De Agostini.
In 1998, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian national daily newspaper for the island of Sicily, Giornale di Sicilia, Rosalba earned the journalist card from the Italian Order of Journalists, where she has been a member from 1998 to 2015.
The advent of the Internet marked the transition of Rosalba to online journalism and blogging, especially in English.
An education in the English language (academic diploma in Marketing, Science and Language Arts at the Technical College Giorgio Arcoleo in Caltagirone, Sicily), and the passion for American English books, led Rosalba to found her book review magazine in English, in 2012, (got international backlinks from Wikipedia), followed by her blog about Sicily in 2015, (backlinks from Wikipedia, as well). In 2020, it was the turn of her health magazine.
Her online magazines provided her with global readership and international recognitions, paving the way to collaborations as an international content writer with media agencies, companies and organizations around the world, such as OpenPR (UK), Yahoo Voices (United States), see the two articles below,
